With dusky lighting and comfortable seating, the petit blue lounge at the back of fast-casual Cuban restaurant Bodega was the perfect setting for our small group to ruminate over potent, creative cocktails. In addition to the Prime standards, they offer Japanese wagyu and grass fed beef from specialty ranches as well as the now trendy ultra-aged option, 100-days. Besides steak there is lamb, quail, chicken and plenty of seafood. Dessert is a very special thing at Bern's, which also offers an incredible array of dessert wines, ... Waugh was a famed British wine merchant and on one trip, Bern visited him for dinner in his London home. After the entrée, Waugh suggested they adjourn to another room for dessert, port and cigars, and Bern loved the idea. He loved it so much that when he returned to Tampa he turned the upstairs into the Harry Waugh Dessert Room, with 48 private booths, each made from a repurposed redwood wine cask.

There are a handful of eateries so notable I feel like when I travel to the cities they are in I absolutely have to eat there or it’s a wasted culinary trip. Examples would include the nation’s best pizzeria, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco (before you argue, read this), Casa Julian outside San Sebastian Spain (read more here), and the original muffuletta sandwich at the place it was invented, Central Grocery in New Orleans.

Bern’s Steak House

But nonetheless, there are several things that make Bern’s notably different from every other venerable steakhouse you can visit, and puts it in a very elite group atop the red meat pantheon. The appropriate attire at Bern’s Steak House is business casual to semi-formal. We ask that no t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, shorts, or torn or faded blue jeans be worn. If any of these items are worn to Bern’s, you may be seated in our lounge area instead of one of the dining rooms. But once inside Bar Chica, the vibe couldn’t have been more warm and inviting.

Tampa’s most famous restaurant, Bern’s Steak House, also makes this list. I just returned to Tampa for the first time in years to catch a couple of Yankees spring training games, and even before I bought airline tickets I made a reservation for Bern’s way in advance, because they are always really hard to get. But if any travel takes you to Tampa, it is absolutely worth the effort. Jackets and ties are encouraged, but not officially required. It is quite common to see formal wear since we are fortunate to be visited often for special occasion meals.

Bern's boasts the largest private wine collection in the world of over 600,000 bottles.[14] Bern's is one of three locations that annually host "Winefest", the second largest private fundraiser for charity in the Tampa Bay area, the first being "Taste of Tampa". All Bern’s waiters are highly trained and very competent servers, however if you have a favorite, please make your request for this waiter when you make your reservation by phone. We will note it in your reservation and do our best to seat you at a table in their section. However, we cannot honor all requests due to scheduling and volume in the restaurant.

Today when you first take your seat at dinner, the waiter asks if you would like to book a booth upstairs for dessert and you simply must say yes. All the standard steaks at Bern's are USDA Prime, dry-aged in house for at least 45-days, hand cut ... [+] to order and served with starter, baked potato, salad and sides including signature onion rings and daily vegetable.

Try one of the signature cocktails, like the Florida Sour, concocted of Whistle Pig Whiskey, “Piggyback” 6-year rye, orange, lemon, rosemary simple syrup and a red wine float. Many steakhouses serve portions too big for many patrons, but all the “regular” steaks at Bern’s, Strip, Filet, Porterhouse, T-Bone, Delmonico and Chateaubriand, are offered in two or three sizes, and because they cut the steaks to order you can get custom sizes as well. All are grilled over natural hardwood charcoal, and for those who prefer rare or medium rare, the menu suggests two people splitting one thicker steak will work out better than two thinner ones totaling the same weight. You could not ask for more information and it is very useful and may well lead you to make a great decision you might have overlooked. After dinner, every table gets a tour through the kitchen and wine cellar that’s stocked with over 100,000 bottles, along with a trip to the dessert parlor upstairs.

That’s where you’ll slide into your own private wine-cask cubby and try the banana cream cheese pie and a deconstructed chocolate sundae as a pianist plays anything you want. St. Petersburg-based Star Trolley filled a void when it started in 2020, providing festive transportation for weddings. Owner Richard Novikas started it after he acquired a fleet of trolleys and busses from his father, who was in the manufacturing business, which was responsible for not only the ones in Star Trolley’s fleet, but also those in St. Petersburg’s Downtown Looper. Once business started booming, Novikas considered a plan for his 44-passenger transit bus. Inspired by a trip to The Ringling Museum in Sarasota where he saw an antique circus train car, he turned it into a 1920s speakeasy.

The Farm

They also won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine Program, and the cellars are so extensive and impressive that they offer guests guided tours with dinner, something that stopped in the pandemic and is being re-introduced shortly. It is still family owned (Bern and Gert’s son), and clearly a passion project. I will absolutely eat there any time I go to Tampa, I may go back to Tampa sooner just to eat there. It is our policy to only seat complete parties as delayed guests impact following reservations. But the heart of the meal starts with USDA Prime steaks, dry-aged at least 45-days (which is extra generous in the industry) and cut in house, something only a handful of the best steakhouses do. But what almost no other top steakhouses do is offer you anything with your steak.

Novikas said many people prefer to just stay on the bus and party. Very few steakhouses, even the best, dry age their own meat in house, and even fewer do it for ... Bern’s stores its collection, containing over half a million bottles and 6500 labels from all over the world, in both its on site 50° working cellar as well as its own temperature controlled warehouse. For decades, this stately steakhouse has been a local favorite for special occasions of all stripes, and its popularity shows no signs of shrinking. Don’t fill up on the assorted sides—at the end of the meal, guests are whisked to the posh upstairs dessert room, where bananas Foster or baked Alaska can be enjoyed with house-roasted coffee and live piano music. There is a staggering array of dessert wines, fortified wines and rare whiskies by the glass, with many tasting flight options. And it is like two different superb dining out experiences wrapped into one great meal, and again, something you just cannot do at other top steakhouses.

ENJOY A Taste

Every meat on the menu is given its own paragraph explanation, which sounds like it was written by someone who's an e-commerce copywriter by day and a steak scholar by night. The Delmonico that they dry-age for 100 days is always our go-to. In the front, Bodega is the go-to for Cuban food and fresh juices in St. Petersburg’s Edge District. But peek around a barn-style door in the back and find Bar Chica.

Many options are available in current vintage releases as well as older, rarer offerings. The “special request” section is NOT accessed until the night of your reservation so please do not use this section to request a change in time, number of guests or any other information you need the restaurant to be aware of in advance of your reservation. After my years of frequenting nightclubs, dive bars and restaurant bars, niche experiences like the one at Bar Chica are a welcome alternative. There are a couple of strong options across the Tampa Bay area right now, bars that don’t feel gimmicky but do emphasize a certain quiet, intimate, speakeasy vibe. I have covered restaurants for decades and especially steakhouses, and there are a lot of great ones in the U.S., where cities like New York, Las Vegas and Dallas each have a dozen or more that would qualify as exceptional.

Bern’s Steak House was created from what was once an ordinary business block on Howard Avenue, containing a grocery, barber shop and dime store. Bern and Gert, with the help of their own carpenters, metalworkers, painters and electricians, built what you now see today. Bern’s can put a candle in the dessert of the person celebrating while in the Harry Waugh Dessert Room. Please make sure to notate the occasion when making your reservation or let your dessert room server know the occasion the evening you dine with us. Other major holiday hours vary; please call Bern’s for more information. Want more of our free, weekly newsletters in your inbox?

Now through July 8 and July 11-15, A Taste of Bern’s at Haven offers selections inspired by the Bern’s menu, including select cuts from its aging room, steak sauces, wines from its cellar and sweets from its famous dessert room. If your generationally wealthy friend from England opened a steakhouse in their parents’ old manor, it’d probably feel a lot like Bern’s. The lobby is all gilded furniture and ruby lights, and there are eight different dining rooms lined with wall-to-wall photos from the founder's travels to Bordeaux, Burgundy, and beyond.

While gardening and producing a gardening newsletter he and his wife opened a small luncheonette which served juice, coffee and cold sandwiches. It was a hit and soon they eventually added hot breakfast and lunch. All of this was in the early Fifties, long before anyone had coined the terms “farm to table” or “localvore,” but from the beginning, Bern and Gert emphasized the best ingredients possible including fresh veggies and fruit from his own gardens. 70 Years later Bern’s is still doing what has recently become trendy among top chefs elsewhere and growing its own.

Novikas did all the work himself, gutting the bus and building out the bar and seating. About a year ago he started testing the concept and found that people were eager to get a group together, dress up in 1920s attire and hit the road. It’s bring-your-own alcohol, but a bartender who will curate a bar menu can be provided for an additional fee. The bus seats 30 people and you can organize a tour, whether it’s a bar crawl of other speakeasies or just a stylish ride to a concert.

We recommend making reservations well in advance of your visit and we accept reservations only for the current month and the subsequent two months. In the lounge — which was last refreshed in 1998 — seating in the bar has been expanded and a new back bar display is being added. BDG Architects is overseeing the architectural design, with Richard Zingale leading the interior design. All the city’s essential spots for seafood platters, steaks, Cubans, and more.

These places are typically expensive and very much a la carte. All of that comes with each steak, which are priced lower than almost all other top steakhouses to begin with. A 12-ounce dry-aged NY Strip is $60 with all the extras, and two weeks earlier I ate at a high-end chain steakhouse where a not as good one was $72 with nothing. Our dining room dress code is business casual to semi-formal. If you are dressed in more relaxed attire, you may be seated in our lounge area instead of the main dining rooms. So, the wine list itself is reason to go, and one of the standout features that elevate Bern’s above its peers, but that’s just one.

South House Garden, Gaithersburg Roadtrippers

This is a unique situation; I used a walker, so it wasn't conducive due to that.I called 911 one day and the manager ran over there and got my dog and took him to the vet for boarding for me. They had a chef who owns a restaurant here in Baton Rouge and the meals were just wonderful. They provided two meals, but they didn't have breakfast. They had all this landscaping, they kept all the cabins spotless on the outside, and they had a weekly yard service. I was paying more there, but I had a full kitchen and I had a washer and a dryer in my apartment. There are quite a few Japanese-style botanical gardens to be found in the city of Los Angeles, one of the most stunning gardens being The Japanese Garden in Van Nuys.

The stone is the main structure of the garden, the water is considered to be the life-giving force, and the plants add the final touch of changing colors depending on the seasons. One thing we've noticed with a lot of 'modern' living rooms you see on Pinterest and Instagram is that they don't always have a lot of furniture in them.

Add a dimension to walls with on trend cladding

That's mostly thanks to the retro fireplace and ultra-modern light fixture. Minimalist interior design is popular amongst those who crave simplicity in a complicated world. An uncluttered minimalist interior is easier to clean and maintain and appeals to people who want to reduce consumption in the context of the climate emergency.

Update Midcentury Architecture

Neutral spaces can easily feel cold, but the layers in here radiate warmth. The Brownstone Boys are known for their historic renovations, and they're the ones to look at if you're searching for inspiration on how to make your older home look good with your modern furniture. The light fixture and curved couch are obviously not from the same era as the ornate crown molding and the fireplace, but they contrast in an elegant way. James Design Group utilizes classic picture molding as frames for the mirrors, opening up the living room and bouncing light around.

About two months after their dash to Las Vegas, the Stahls decided to drive up to this mystery spot and have a look around. They found themselves gawping at the entirety of Los Angeles spread out below in a grid that went on for an eternity or two. In the kismet-filled conversation that followed, Buck agreed to buy the barren one-eighth-acre lot for $13,500, with $100 down and the seller maintaining the mortgage until the Stahls paid it off. On that site, they would construct Case Study House #22, designed by Pierre Koenig, arguably the most famous of all the houses in the famous Case Study program that Arts & Architecture magazine initiated in 1945.

Create a scheme full of wooden elements

These 51 modern living rooms show stretch in a variety of substrates and styles. Design your lounge creatively, using these fifty modern living rooms as examples, and transform your living space into a captivating haven of contemporary elegance. Add an element of drama to an interior with curved furnishings, from sofas and armchairs to coffee tables and wall decor. High-impact wall art is a beautiful, chic way to add personality to a minimalist living room. Though it doesn't take up any surface space, the right piece can be truly transformative.

Bounce the light with mirrors

These cooler hues just speak to the modern living room design aesthetic and are so easy to live with and update. Concrete-textured living room wall ideas, abstract paint strokes, and an adjacent grey wall are a grungy contrast to the predominantly Art-Deco-like space centered around a green velvet sofa and gold plant pot. Simply combine primary-colored furniture and soft furnishings to this space. We love the contrast between the red and green of the lamp and the mustard living room curtains which are a grown-up take on yellow. There is no shortage of modern living room ideas out there when you do a quick search.

The right accessories, like stylish area rugs, colorful accent chairs or statement lighting fixtures can quickly modernize a simple interior. Patterned wallpaper, pops of colorful fabric and a fresh coat of paint can all result in a modern, chic and inviting space. Mixing old and new pieces in a range of styles can also give your living room a modern and eclectic feel. It's possible to incorporate personality without creating visual chaos, says Hoboken, New Jersey–based interior designer Samantha Stathis Lynch. "Adding color through your accent pieces such as pillows, rugs, and art can make all the difference," she explains. "When done correctly, the use of color and texture can further highlight those guiding principles. You can certainly create a space that feels warm and inviting without all the clutter."

For even more contrast, there's a gallery wall comprised of white and black artwork. The clean lines of this living room designed by Robson Rak make you feel relaxed just looking at it. Even the detail and symmetry of the vertical window pane tracing down to the cushions of the sofa is soothing.

Crisp Lines

Though the colours are bold, they are unified by the rug underneath that pulls the scheme together. Choose one or two brights against some grounding neutrals to get it right. Complementary taupe and grey decor and an L-shaped sofa give this Scandi living room a laidback-luxe feel. Not only is this a great trick to make a small living room look bigger, but it is also a key tenant of the modern living room.

In this breezy communal area of Ashley Gilbreath's beach house, a medium-sized palm plant on the coffee table continues the paint color of the walls into the seating area. Follow in designers Justin Hafen and John Hurley's footsteps by adding deeply hued furnishings to a bright space. The matching bookshelf and couch give the living room of their contemporary home in Napa Valley an elegant vibe, creating a space that looks very intentionally put together and cozy. Designer Brian Paquette created this warm, sunken living area in a Southern California home by using jewel tone colors and keeping the furnishings relatively close together. It goes to show that even if your living room is smaller, it doesn't have to feel cramped. Because modern living rooms aren't all light and airy, they can be dark and dramatic too.

It's a coastal concept that doesn't need a ton of accessories to prove the aesthetic is at work. "When selecting your furnishings, we prefer a crisp white or cream sofa that provides a neutral base and allows you to accent with color and pattern," designer Angela Hamwey says. To create a space that feels modern and personal, consider creative seating solutions like a curved sofa or a pair of fun accent chairs.

If you love modern minimalist design but don't want to give up on color, allow this living room designed by Arent & Pyke to guide you. The materials and finishes are pared back to a monochrome palette, allowing the heritage detailing and foundations to stand beautifully as they are. A muted rose carpet and inky midnight-hued armchair add soft, dynamic touches of color. It's no secret that interior designers love to find ways to keep televisions out of sight, so you might as well take a suggestion from the pros and do the same. The blue lacquered cabinet Lisa Tharp used in the living room of this Boston apartment is a perfectly chic option for hiding that big black rectangle from visitors. In this Texas lake house by Marie Flanigan Interiors, neutral tones, natural textures and materials, and minimal decorations harmonize to create a calm, elevated living room.

Defined by clean lines, natural materials and minimalist decor, modern home design is one of the most well-known interior design styles. In the living room, the aesthetic translates to a space that feels airy and uncluttered, yet cozy and welcoming. Here, we've rounded up dreamy modern living room ideas that showcase steal-worthy design trends and functional layouts for casual family time. Minimalist living rooms take a pared-back approach to furniture, color palettes, and decor, an approach that can be used to create a streamlined feel in any style of interior. Whether you're designing a family-friendly living room or looking for small living room ideas, there are many design avenues that can be taken to achieve a fresh and elevated space. Sleek sky-high shelving, custom fireplaces and grand architectural elements can create a modern living environment filled with both visual interest and functionality.

A colorful seating space feels sleek and modern in complementary shades, from rose to burgundy to a deep terra cotta brown. White tabletops, metallic accessories, and reflective glass keep the atmosphere light. To show off a client's collection of colorful glass wall art, Boschetti added subtly patterned wallpaper, a contrasting shelf unit, retro décor objects, and natural leather and floral accents. In the same way that a gray scale can evoke the silent films of the past, so can bold colors and graphic prints root you in the present moment. In the living room of a Manhattan townhouse, designer Danielle Colding brought in a royal blue biomorphic sofa and graphic upholstered armchairs that banish any thoughts of the old and fuddy-duddy. This late 1970s house in Venice, California, designed by Frank Gehry and redecorated by owner Florian Marquardt, features a living room with harmonious contrasts.

Similarly to texture, layering is another design secret that Californian interior designers swear by. The art of layering is to learn how to use each of these individually and make them work together cohesively – building a room from the ground up. Interior designers use texture in the form of tactile objects like fabrics, wood, and stone to add physical comfort and visual interest to a space. Using texture in interior design is critical, and Californians live by this one rule. It's crucial to look at the room as a whole and bring an area together with mixed materials for vibrancy and warmth. My mother lived there for several years in the independent living apartments. As far as the amenities go, the apartments are a very good value. They are well maintained, offering a little porch and a small garden, a feature hard to find in many senior communities. A stacking washer and dryer in each unit is a huge plus. Two meals a day are provided, and meals can be delivered when the weather is bad, or if residents don't want to walk to the dining hall that day. Basic housekeeping is also included (vacuum, mop, and clean bath fixtures/surfaces as well as kitchen floor and surfaces).

Initially, these gardens served as a serene location for monks to meditate on Buddha's teachings. These days, it has become a significant part of Japanese culture and lifestyle. Visitors are delighted to know that each studio is equipped with a kitchenette and a living room. Let the enticing aromas of mouthwatering Caribbean dishes tantalize your taste buds. Feast on traditional delicacies prepared by expert chefs, showcasing the rich and diverse culinary heritage of the Caribbean. First constructed in the late 1930s, the garden features two ponds, four bridges and a cascading waterfall, all centered around a Japanese tea house. The current structure was painstakingly restored after a fire in 1981; the original was created in Japan by landscape designer and craftsman Kinzuchi Fujii. These gorgeous grounds in Arcadia have been designed as an educational facility (the plants are mostly arranged by region, and tours are available), but many people simply come here for a little peace and quiet. You could wander these gardens for hours, taking in tropical forests and waterfalls, trees and fish. Plus, be on the lookout for wild peacocks, which were first imported into the area in the late 1800s and have stuck around ever since. The acres and acres of public gardens are divided into a variety of themes, including a prickly desert garden, a serene Japanese garden and bamboo forest, as well as a recently-expanded assembly of Chinese pagodas, pavilions and bridges.

This 55-room Tudor estate is a good way to get a glimpse into the lives of L.A.’s historical 1%. Though the interior is only open for events and tours, the exterior gardens are open daily, free of charge. Take a stroll through alleys of poplars and cypress trees, a fountain and reflecting pool, and a terraced pool area. "It has like this wild garden feel, but very, like sophisticated in a way. It's all native plants and trees and like fruit trees, everywhere," Putnam said. "So like iit creates the most like whimsical environment for entertaining." The two-bed, two-bath home sits on a quarter-acre lot, and Putman boasted the gardens and terraces as a draw for potential buyers.

Because of the six-and-a-half-acre estate’s quiet residential location, it’s only accessible via docent-led tours, which you’ll need to arrange two weeks in advance over the phone or via email. Once inside, you’ll find finely manicured gardens and a just as impeccably assembled mansion. In keeping with its storied history of lavish Hollywood parties, the estate hosts a swanky garden party at the beginning of each summer.

Website templates for every purpose

When using a content management system like WordPress, we will tie-in the html with an admin and database. David is a freelance writer for leading B2B SaaS and tech brands, creating detailed, actionable content that resonates with their audience. When he’s not writing, you’ll find him chilling with a thriller or roaring on the Villa. It's not the easiest platform to use, but it's incredibly powerful for a free site builder. As an added bonus, Wix integrates with Zapier, which means you can automatically send form submissions wherever you need them. Learn more about how to automate Wix, or use one of these pre-made templates to get you started.

Table of Contents

Wix has its own powerful e-commerce tool, but to add products there, you have to leave the main site editor. With Square Online, you can add or edit items without leaving the page where you list them. The editor also intelligently adds fields to each product depending on the category you select. For example, for “food and beverage items,” the form offers fields to enter a nutritional value or to label the product as vegan or gluten-free. Most small businesses aren’t likely to bump up against the 2 GB bandwidth or 3 GB storage limits of the Combo plan ($19 per month or $14 per month if paid annually, at this writing). However, if you know you’ll need a lot of storage—for example, for posting high-resolution photos or videos—you might want to look at Wix’s pricing for its higher-level plans.

This is a huge advantage for those who want to create an online store without breaking the bank in website costs. However, Square Online does charge transaction fees for each purchase made on your site, meaning you’ll have to pay 2.9% + 30¢ on each transaction for your store. With ADI and a breezy editor, you can build a GoDaddy website in under an hour! But this does reveal a weakness in GoDaddy, which is its lack of customization options. This can appeal to beginners who may agonize over creative choices with a builder like Wix or Webflow, because GoDaddy gives you a much more limited array of options for creating a website. However, we don’t recommend it if you’re looking for lots of creative freedom.

Most of the products here can tell you about your site traffic, though the amount of detail varies greatly among them, and it's often tied to premium account levels. For example, Weebly displays page views and unique visitors for each day of the month, as well as search terms used to get to the site, referring sites, and top-visited pages. Another drawback of that approach is that you can only see traffic from the preceding day and earlier; it's not up-to-the-minute, or even the hour. All the web services listed here have you start by choosing from a selection of templates for your site. The better ones use templates that automatically reformat your site for viewing on mobile devices.

Its other services include logo design, corporate branding and re-branding, SEO, and multi-media presentation creation. High Arte is a one-stop shop for marketing and customized visual communication. If you just need to build a basic site and don’t care too much about customization or aesthetics, Google Sites will help you get the job done easily, for free. Anyone who uses Gmail or any of Google’s other services already has access to Google Sites, and building a website will be instantly familiar to anyone who has used Google Slides. It’s so easy to use that the service is being taught to elementary school students.

After adding your pages and content, you need to think about optimizing your site design. A well-optimized site improves the overall user journey and helps search engines, like Google, look favorably on your site. We recommend choosing one dominant color, with two or three secondary colors to complete the palette. You can set your color scheme based on your branding or products, or choose a variety of colors based on what looks nice! If you need some inspiration, Pantone recently revealed “Peach Fuzz” as the 2024 Color of the Year. Naturally, your tone of voice can adapt and change to suit its environment.

If you’re selling any kind of service, automate booking sign-ups, cancellations, calendar integrations, and contact forms right from the start. Then, drag, drop, and copy-paste pre-built block patterns on any post or page with the built-in block editor. And make it even more unique by customizing your fonts and color palette. Explore our industry-leading collection of website templates and customize them to reflect your brand's unique identity. Turn your ideas into a remarkable website experience with thousands of built-in design features that are just a click away. Wix's no-code website builder empowers you to build and manage your website effortlessly, even if you have no coding experience.

As you can see, Wix is our top-rated website builder overall, offering well-rounded features and 900+ professionally designed templates that cater to a variety of industries. While my primary focus lies in providing painting and decorating services, I do utilize my website to showcase my expertise and attract potential clients. GoDaddy’s ecommerce tools have been instrumental in facilitating this aspect of my business, enabling me to seamlessly manage online enquiries and bookings.

1 3 Profile Investigator Martyr in Human Design Knowledge Base

1/3 profile human design

On the other hand, Generators and Manifesting Generators with the 1/3 Profile could utilize their sustainable energy in deep investigation and experimentation, leading to mastery in their chosen fields. They may feel a strong satisfaction when they’re immersed in exploring their interests and learning from their experiences. The first number in the 1/3 Profile signifies the Investigator role. Investigators have an innate need to probe the depth of any topic that interests them. They are driven by a need for security, which they obtain by gathering information and understanding their environment on a deep level. The depth of their research and understanding often results in a strong foundation of knowledge.

Leveraging Your Sacral Energy

Fourthly, allocate time to reflect on your experiences. Reflection turns your trials and errors into valuable lessons and insights. This natural inclination is a strength, propelling you towards in-depth understanding and expertise. Your investigative nature is a key part of your 1/3 Generator profile. Furthermore, the 1/3 Profile can benefit from channeling their depth of knowledge and experience into areas that truly resonate with them.

Embracing Unique Qualities

Conversely, 1/3s DO👏 NOT👏 like being pressed to weigh in on a topic they haven’t studied, ESPECIALLY if they have either their Head or Mind Center open, or both! With my combo of open Head, Mind AND Throat Centers, I totally feel this way. Put together the aspects of the 1-3 profile provide us with experts on how to do things and more importantly how not too! You might hear a 1-3 say “Oh don’t do that, I tried that and it was a disaster. Do it this way instead.” We should all be grateful for the work the 1-3’s have done to make our life better. Understanding and embracing your unique role as a 1/3 Generator is key to living in alignment with your true self.

Strengths and Unique Qualities

Just another reason to clear out your aura and energy field each day. It is not there to punish us, it is there to show us where we have space to grow. It may or may not involve experiences with other people. If it does involve other people, it is of no coincidence that the people in your life right now are there for a reason. Lighting yourself up by being with your community (in a way that feels good for you) for periods of time before retreating away to break down the 'how and why' of things you are curious to learn more about.

Being a 1/3 Projector in Human Design means you have an extraordinary and distinctive role in life. Let’s dive deeper into the interpretations of this profile. Consistent routines provide a sense of security and stability. They can help you manage your energy and establish a rhythm that suits your Generator nature. Your experiences can offer guidance and support to those who are navigating similar situations.

How the 1/3 Profile Experiences Their Personal and Professional Lives

The ISTP profile clearly has traits of both the first line of the Investigator and the third line of the Martyr in common with the 1/3. The combination of both qualities produces a person who is keen to explore new options, but with a sensible head on their shoulders which prevents them from taking excessive risks. Together, these traits allow the results of their experiences to lead to personal growth and the true self. Line three Human Design individuals are all about discovery and learning through personal experience. The third line of the Martyr manifests subconsciously for profile 1/3, meaning individual’s with this profile may be unaware of these traits in themselves.

These periods provide the space and time needed for reflection and introspection. As a 1/3 Projector, you have a unique set of traits and skills that are valuable and worth celebrating. Living authentically involves aligning your actions with your purpose. If something doesn’t align with your purpose, it’s okay to let it go. Finally, celebrate the transformations you facilitate.

Ann Smyth, a Certified Life and Leadership Coach, specialises in guiding individuals through transformative journeys. Using a unique blend of Human Design, brain and nervous system retraining, she approaches her coaching practice with a trauma-informed perspective. Ann's mission is to reignite her clients' passion for life, fostering a deep love for their own existence.

Second, remember that being a catalyst for transformation often means helping others navigate change. Use your understanding and wisdom to guide and support others. The ‘3’ in your 1/3 Projector profile indicates a life characterized by learning from trial and error. Fourth, your investigative nature may sometimes lead to feelings of isolation or being misunderstood.

You have a very penetrative energy, which some people may find rather intense, it serves you well to hold back on unsolicited advice. If there’s one thing we want you to take from Human Design, it’s this formula. By honoring this decision-making process, we start to align ourselves to our unique essence and begin to blossom into the person we were born to become.

It’s so important to know that the Line 1 investigator in you is truly only half of your process. Your 3rd line energy is itching to TRY things out and ‘get its hands dirty’ so to speak. I’m here to learn and be kind to myself through experiencing the ups and the downs. I've learned to be open to all outcomes and take everything as a growth opportunity. To not get down on myself when things don’t “work out”. I’ve never been a hesitant person, ready to roll with the punches but younger me would get hung up on an experience when it didn’t work out so well.

At the core of Human Design are nine centres, each representing different aspects of human experiences, such as emotions, communication, intuition, and identity. Within these centres are channels and gates, which further refine a person's design. Finally, use your trial and error learning to help others. Your experiences can provide valuable insights and guidance to those navigating similar paths. Lastly, your investigative nature is a powerful tool for personal growth and development. Embrace it, and let it guide you on your journey to self-discovery.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) and HM Land Registry (HMLR) are working to resolve this. See updated listings every day, search with tailored filters, and contact property managers—all from one place. Zillow has the most rental listings and receives the most web traffic. However, it has been criticized for its high fees and poor customer service. It offers a search engine with features like search filters, neighborhood guides, and rental history checks. However, HotPads is a syndication site, which means that the listings are aggregated from other websites.

After that, the pace of new completions is likely to moderate, the nationwide apartment listing service observed. Anyone prepared to argue there’s really nothing new under the sun in the U.S. housing market hasn’t glimpsed RentCafe’s annual Build-to-Rent Construction Report, out just last week. The niche comprised of single-family houses built expressly to be rented has established its fifth straight yearly record, with more residences than ever being constructed.

For more information, see our Measuring the UK housing market blog post. Average UK private rent increased by 9.2% in the 12 months to March 2024 (provisional estimate). This was up from 9.0% in the 12 months to February 2024 (revised estimate) and represents the highest annual percentage change since this UK data series began in January 2015. Average private rent for Wales was £727 in March 2024, up 9.0% (£60) from a year earlier. This annual rise was unchanged from the 12 months to February 2024, but remains below Wales's record-high annual rise of 9.8% in November 2023, which was the highest annual rise since this series began in 2010.

Each subsequent month, updated Northern Ireland data are used to revise estimates for the UK. This means that there is a two-month revision period for the UK series in PIPR. By chain-linking the IPHRP (pre-2015) and PIPR (2015 onward) indices together, we have published a full historical series for the UK, Great Britain, its countries and English regions. Series begin in January 2005 for England, January 2009 for Wales, January 2011 for Scotland, and January 2015 for Northern Ireland and the UK. We advise caution when comparing pre-2015 trends with later estimates because of the methodology change in January 2015.

More detail is available in our Quality assurance of administrative data used in the PIPR methodology. In March 2024, the average private rent was highest in Kensington and Chelsea, London (£3,305), and lowest in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland (£475). Excluding London, the local area with the highest average private rent in March 2024 was the City of Bristol, South West (£1,748). The average private rent in Great Britain was £1,246 in March 2024, which is £104 (9.1%) higher than 12 months ago. A rental website provides an Internet Listing Service (ILS) to list vacant houses.

In the years before Covid turned our worlds upside down, an average 6,600 BTR houses were constructed annually nationwide.

A rental website is an online marketplace where landlords may list available properties, and renters can look for rental homes. PIPR replaced the Index of Private Housing Rental Prices (IPHRP) and Private Rental Market Summary Statistics (PRMS) in March 2024. PIPR produces rent prices that are comparable over time (unlike PRMS) and publishes at increased geographic granularity than IPHRP. The Price Index of Private Rents (PIPR) reflects price changes for all privately-rented properties (including for existing tenancies), not only changes for newly-advertised lets.

Price Index of Private Rents (PIPR) measures private rent inflation for new and existing tenancies. However, it could be difficult to fill your vacant house in this market. The explosive growth of the market, especially in the last three years, is evident in the following figures. That number grew to 6,434 in 2016, 9,978 in 2021, 15,691 in 2022 and 27,495 last year. The rise in Scotland’s annual inflation rate in recent months is more reflective of Scotland’s average house price falling this time last year, rather than increasing in recent months. This is known as a base effect, as explained in our Beware base effects blog. Scotland's average house price fell in winter 2022 to 2023, reaching a low point in February 2023. Scotland's average house price returned to mid-2022 price levels by mid-2023 and has since remained comparatively stable. Users should be aware that revisions may be larger than usual and should note the significantly greater uncertainty around new build prices. UK HPI will now return to the usual 12-month revision period for future releases.

The metro had a total of 262 units, and is now readying another 2,500. The largest number of new BTR homes last year were constructed in the Phoenix metro area, where more than 4,000 units were completed. Dallas came in second with almost 2,700 and Atlanta was third with approximately 1,980. Austin and Charlotte, with 840 and 714 respectively, were the next metros on the list.

Craigslist is a California-based company that was founded by Craig Newmark in 1995. It offers a wide range of listings, including jobs, housing, for sale, and many more. While mitigation efforts are made, price changes at local levels can be influenced by the type and number of properties collected in any given period, which may lead to volatility. Longer-term trends should be considered for lower-level geographic breakdowns, rather than monthly movements. Inflation is the rate at which prices (for renting or purchasing property) rise and fall over time.

Selecting the best rental listing website depends on your needs and preferences. You should consider factors like selection, cost, and features to choose best websites to find house rentals. You should also compare multiple sites to find the one that best suits your requirements. Because of differences in data collection and housing policy, caution is advised when comparing Scotland's estimates with other areas in England and Wales and within Scotland. More information is available in our PIPR Quality and Methodology Information (QMI). BTR as a sector is facing many of the same headwinds the rest of the home building industry confronts, with persistently elevated interest rates and inflated construction expenses near the top.

Average private rent for Scotland was £947 in March 2024, up 10.5% (£90) from a year earlier. Scotland's annual inflation rate has been generally slowing since the record-high annual rise of 11.8% in August 2023, which was the highest annual rise since this series began in 2012. The Price Index of Private Rents (PIPR) is released as official statistics in development, and is subject to revisions if improvements in the methodology are identified.

This means that a large proportion of data for Brent are from recent months. Since UK rents have been rising at a record-high pace for more than a year, this has led to a sharp increase in the estimated rent price for Brent recently. In England and Wales, achieved rents data are collected for both new and existing tenancies. Rent Officers receive a notification 12 months after a property's last update, supporting their aims to revisit properties. Annually, over 450,000 private rent prices are collected in England and around 30,000 in Wales, 40,000 in Scotland, and 15,000 in Northern Ireland.

Here are some factors you need to consider when selecting the best renting websites.

After evaluating hundreds of websites, we have selected the 7 best rental websites in America for you to choose from. We are investigating the feasibility of extending the time-series back further. The full UK House Price Index report and monthly data are published by HM Land Registry. While BTR is concentrated in the Sunbelt, the phenomenon is by no means limited to that region. Detroit came in sixth on last year’s list, with 651 completed, followed by fellow Midwestern markets Kansas City, Mo. with 636 BTR homes finished in 2023, and Columbus with 625 homes completed. Even more striking, 41% of all BTR homes, or about 68,000 homes, were constructed in just the last half decade.

Annual rents inflation was lowest in the North East, at 6.1% in March 2024. This was up from 5.7% in February 2024, and represents the joint-highest annual percentage change since this series began in January 2006. Because of this imbalance, their respondents continue to expect rents to rise over the coming months. UK monthly rent estimates for the latest two months and UK HPI estimates for the latest 12 months are provisional and subject to revision. All statistics are non-seasonally adjusted estimates, unless explicitly stated otherwise. RentCafe reports most of the 45,400 BTR homes currently being constructed will open their doors next year.

There was a varied distribution in average monthly private rents across local authorities in England and Wales, and Broad Rental Market Areas in Scotland. Moreover, the vacancy index has increased from 4.1% in 2021 to 6.6% in 2023. Landlords are compelled to find new ways to look for potential renters. These caps and restrictions will not be reflected in the price of new lets used to estimate the price of existing tenancies. Scotland rents data are predominantly for advertised new lets, with only a small proportion based on existing lets data. Therefore, price changes for existing tenancies are largely estimated for Scotland.
